A pair of candlesticks in brass and porphyry. Here you choose from two different heights of your candlesticks with 5 or 10 cm high stone in porphyry.
The combination of brass and porphyry interacts together in a natural way. The exclusive candlestick is perfect as a gift and used as a "jewelry" when setting the table for a party. The stone is developed together with Porfyrcentrum in Älvdalen and Morells Metallgjuteri Mora is responsible for the assembly and casting of the brass in the candlestick.
The exclusive and powerful Älvdalsporfyr which is a volcanic rock that was formed about 1.7 billion years ago. Porphyry is a very hard stone that is close to diamond in the hardness scale. Diamond has a hardness of 10 and porphyry 7. It is therefore extremely difficult to work with but can be polished to a very high shine.
There are a large number of varieties of porphyry, each porphyry variety has been named after its place of discovery, for example Blyberg, Orrlok, Brunnsberg, Gammelklitt, Rännås and Dysberg.
