Ship candlestick in brass, a solid craft. Standing or for hanging.
Height 135 mm, diameter 120 mm.
Made using the ancient method of molding in sand. Sand is mixed with molasses and water so that the sand can be shaped and holds together.
Once the mold has dried, the metal is melted and poured into the molds. Once the metal has cooled, the mold is broken and the cast is removed. A new mold must therefore be made for each candlestick.
